Since September 2009 Michael has been presenting his very own radio show 'A Touch of The Irish' alongside co-presenter Adam Carr.
A Touch of The Irish is broadcast every Sunday night at 9:00pm and repeated every Thursday at 9:00pm.
Tyne FM is based in the northeast of England but broadcasts all over the world through the magic of the internet. Our show offers a mixture of the Country & Irish music from all the well known stars as well as a generous helping of the classic songs that so many of you have listened to since being very young. We also feature some traditional songs and a few one offs just to round up our selection. Each week we choose one song to feature on our ‘moment of the week’ this is usually a song which invokes feeling and makes you stop and think about things. We invite listeners to make suggestions for our moment of the week song choice.
We are happy to play anyone’s special requests or dedications and regularly read them out from listeners all over the world.
We pride ourselves on interviewing all the stars from the country and Irish music scene and to date we have brought our listeners one to one interviews with the likes of , Dermot Hegarty, Johnny Caroll (The man with the golden trumpet), Sean Loughrey, Liam McLaughlin, Michael O’Brien and Philomena McGovern, Nathan Carter, Ged Graham,Curtis Magee, Natasha & Shannon Magee, Daniel O’Donnell, Stephen Smyth & Mary Duff.
